VTCTA VIC Member Webinar – COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate for Authorised Workers

VTCTA is holding a VTCTA VIC Members meeting on Tuesday 12 October following the Victorian Premier’s announced that all ‘authorised workers’ will need to have received their first dose of a COVID vaccine by 15 October 2021, and be fully vaccinated by 26 November 2021.

The Premier’s media release is available here: https://www.premier.vic.gov.au/vaccination-required-protect-workers-and-victoria and a definition of authorised workers is here: https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/authorised-provider-and-authorised-worker-list.

VTCTA understand that volunteers are included in the new requirement for all workers who have to go onsite to deliver services. This announcement has ramifications for the Community Transport sector and VTCTA want to hear from you on the key issues we can advocate on and seek any clarifications and guidance, to support implementation and enforcement. We also want to provide an opportunity for discussion and resource sharing in this new environment.

A number of VTCTA members will speak about how they are responding to the mandate including Bridges Connecting Communities, Eastern Volunteers, Red Cross Victoria and Sunassist. There will also be time for Q and A and discussion.

To assist with gathering the issues asap and in preparation for the webinar, please complete a brief online document including any questions for the webinar here
