Viv Cunningham-Smith is CEO of Eastern Volunteers in the outer eastern metropolitan area of Melbourne where she commenced in 2016. Prior to that she was General Manager with Playgroup Australia responsible for the contracting, research, practice and quality portfolios and CEO of Playgroup Victoria for four and a half years. Viv has had executive management positions in primary health and the child and family sector for over 25 years in NSW and more recently in Victoria. Viv has always delivered services through volunteers and established one of the first volunteer family support services in NSW.
Viv is a social worker by trade and prior to coming to Victoria was Executive Manager with Barnardos Australia. She has a long history of working with not for profits introducing them to outcomes planning and measurement, strategic planning and good governance practice. Viv is passionate about supporting the small to medium not for profit sector to sustain their social businesses and continue to achieve measurable outcomes for their consumers.
Viv previously served as the Secretary of VTCTA and was appointed as the Chair in August 2022. She is also the Victorian representative on ACTA.
